I am a qualified therapeutic integrative counsellor, which means that I draw on different models of therapy to suit the individual needs of my clients.
We all experience difficult times in our lives. I believe that the way we manage those hard times depends on our previous experiences and the beliefs, thoughts and feelings we hold on to as a result of this. This can affect the way we feel about ourselves and others, and the way we connect and relate to others.
My way of working is to provide a safe, accepting space where you feel truly seen and heard. Here I can help you to explore the past, understand your present and direct your future.
How I work
Using an integrative approach I use a combination of person centred talking therapy and with a solution focus approach. Which means that together we can work towards identifying any issue and working towards a desired solution. I can work with you to help you work through any areas in your life where you feel “stuck” and need to find ways to move forward.
It is not unusual at times to experience difficulties in our lives; work, relationships, health, finances, family. These are just some of the areas that can become overwhelming which is when talking to someone can really help you to lead a more satisfying life.
I work with stress, worries and anxiety brought about by home life issues, problems at work or anything that is causing you distress.
We can incorporate relaxation and stress manage techniques into the sessions

I always suggest that we meet first or telephone to discuss the therapy for your individual needs.
This is an opportunity to ask questions and exchange information. The consultation works to decide whether counselling is for you. This usually takes around 20/30 minutes.
